Melbourne International Film Festival has screened 'Everybody Knows' and 'Pig'.

Asghar Farhadi's 'Everybody Knows' and 'Pig' directed by Mani Haqiqi have been screened at the 2018 edition of the event.

'Everybody Knows' has other screenings on August 14 and 15, while 'Pig' will also be screened on August 9.

Directed by veteran Iranian director Asghar Farhadi, ‘Everybody Knows’ has been shot entirely in Spanish on the Iberian Peninsula.

It is about Laura, who lives with her husband and children in Buenos Aires. When they return together to her native village in Spain for a family celebration, an unexpected event changes the course of their lives.

Directed by Mani Haqiqi, ‘Pig’ depicts the story of Hassan, a filmmaker who has not been able to make any films lately, but his admired starlet can’t wait any longer and wants to leave and work with another director.

The MIFF is a not-for-profit organization that has been continuously running since 1952, making it the leading film festival in Australia and one of the world’s oldest film festivals, alongside Cannes and Berlin.‌

The 2018 edition of the MIFF is underway from August 2-19, 2018.
